I’m pursuant of his fitness strategy and aspirations towards keeping his players in peak shape, the squad was again involved in yet another inter-community friendly match, during which they played out a 1-1 with Ikpa Boys FC at Ihioma Central School.
One of Coach Nwokeji’s players, Sixtus Chinemerem Afoaku told Sports247 that it was a wonderful outing for the team and they all cherished the extra opportunity it gave them to learn more about the stern demands of football.
“We played the match against Ikpa Boys at Central School Ihioma. It ended 1-1 and Chikwula was the one who scored our goal. We were all happy with our performance and the result.
“Our coach said he arranged the game in order to help us get match fitness and for him to try out some new tactics before competitions begin.
“He is already planning to get more friendly matches for us so that we can continue learning new strategies and stay fit before the real games start later this month,” Sixtus explained.
