Kuforiji Olushola, fondly called Samba. The Leader of the IFO Local Government Coaches Association and Egba Zonal Cordinator, has praised Kelechi Iheanacho’s remarkable return to form, backing the Nigerian striker to reach at least 15 goals for Bursaspor if he maintains his current momentum.
Iheanacho continued his impressive spell in Turkey with a brace for Bursaspor against İstanbulspor, taking his tally to six goals and two assists in his last five matches.

The 29-year-old forward has quickly established himself as a major attacking threat, registering eight goal involvements during the five-game run.
Speaking in an interview with Sports247, Olushola expressed his delight at seeing Iheanacho rediscover his confidence and scoring touch.
“I’m super happy for him. He is in the best form of his career, and I never expected to see him produce these numbers in such a short period of time,” Olushola said.
According to the IFO coaches’ association leader, regular playing opportunities have played an important role in Iheanacho’s resurgence, allowing the experienced forward to regain his confidence and enjoy his football once again.
“His confidence looks back, he is enjoying his football again, and he is proving just how important he can be when given regular playing time,” he added.
Iheanacho’s recent statistics certainly support Olushola’s assessment. The Nigerian has been consistently involved in Bursaspor’s attacking play, combining goals with assists and demonstrating the clinical finishing that has characterised some of the best periods of his career.
Olushola believes the striker can maintain his current level throughout the campaign and reach a significant scoring milestone.
“He should keep it up. With this kind of form, I feel Kelechi 4Iheanacho could easily reach 15 goals or more by the end of the season for Bursaspor if he stays fit and maintains this incredible run,” he stated.
The latest brace against İstanbulspor has further strengthened expectations surrounding Iheanacho, who appears to have found a rich vein of form at a crucial stage of his career.
For Bursaspor, his continued goalscoring will be vital as the season progresses. For Nigerian football supporters, meanwhile, Iheanacho’s revival provides another reason for optimism about the depth of attacking options available to the Super Eagles.
With six goals and two assists in five matches, Iheanacho is certainly making the most of his opportunity — and if his current trajectory continues, Olushola’s 15-goal prediction could become a realistic target.
