Nigerian U20 centre-forward Abdoulaye Agbejoye has taken another major step in his football journey after officially signing for French club Stade de Reims.
The promising striker, who developed at Grassrunners FC of Ogun State, will join Reims’ youth setup, Reims Révélations, where he is set to compete in France’s Régional 1.
Agbejoye’s move represents another important milestone in his progression, taking him from the Nigerian grassroots scene to one of France’s established football environments.
The young forward will also have a familiar face alongside him at Reims, with fellow Grassrunners FC graduate Raphael Godwin already at the club. Their reunion provides another link between the Ogun State academy and French football.
Now wearing the famous red and white colours of Les Rouge et Blanc, Agbejoye will be looking to adapt quickly, compete for opportunities and demonstrate the qualities that earned him the move to France.
In a prepared reaction, Agbejoye said he is ready to embrace the challenge and continue developing at the next stage of his career.
“I see this as the beginning of something bigger. I have worked hard for this opportunity, and now I want to learn, compete and keep improving every day. I am ready to give everything for Reims.”
