Super Accurate Football Academy of Ikotun’s under-15 squad was in sensational form on Saturday at Islamic Field, along Abaronje Road, as Coach Odris Oseni’s wards romped to a 7-0 win on the back of a masterclass performance.
Sports247 reports that Olarewaju Quyum ended up as man of the match in the encounter, after netting three of the goals that helped his team maul Victory Football Academy in their last group match at this year’s Seamoriow U15 Football Competition.
In netting the competition’s first hat trick, Quyum went top of scorers’ chart with seven goals, as he had also netted a brace in each of his team’s previous games against B-United and Bucknor FC, thereby making him a strong contender for the golden boot award next Sunday.
The next opponents for ‘Coach Super’ and his enterprising lads during their quarter-finals fixture on Tuesday at the same venue will also have to watch Isiaka Quadri (aka Messi), who scored a brace of goals during Saturday’s sensational victory.
Captain of the side, Ayobami Obed (aka Indo Mie) also scored with a stunning free kick, while Chibuzor Akudo got the last goal with a rocket shot from the centre circle to seal a 100% group stage mark for the crowd favourites.
Assistant coach of the team, whose training ground is inside Community Primary School, off Abaronje Road, Ikotun, Shola Babatunde was beaming with delight after the final whistle and commended all the players.
Coach Babatunde declared, “All of the players did well, not only the goal scorers. Even the four of them that played as substitutes gave a very good account of themselves; but we must work harder in order to win the quarter-finals on Tuesday.”
Sports247 gathered that Super Accurate, which won the competition in 2023 and 2024 but lost last year in the semi-finals, are already being tipped to win this year’s contest, which comes to an end next Sunday.
However, the buoyant outfit, which prides itself as an affiliate feeder team to Remo Stars of Ikenne, will have to watch out for the host team, Seamoriow Football Academy, in the semi-finals on Thursday.
