The Olumide Oyedeji Basketball Camp will mark its 25th edition from 31 August to 5 September 2026 at the Indoor Sports Hall, with more than 500 young basketball players expected to take part.
Founded by former Nigeria international and NBA player Olumide Oyedeji, the camp has, over the years, provided young players with the opportunity to learn from experienced coaches and improve their skills on and off the court.
The 25th edition will feature intensive basketball training and mentorship sessions aimed at helping participants improve their technical skills, teamwork and understanding of the game.
The camp is the longest-running basketball development programme in Nigeria and has remained a key part of Oyedeji’s efforts to promote grassroots basketball and provide opportunities for young talents.
Oyedeji, who is the 3rd Vice President of the Nigeria Olympic Committee (NOC), said ahead of the camp that he remains committed to using basketball to empower young people and contribute to the development of the sport in Nigeria.
The programme will also include coaching clinics and mentorship sessions, allowing participants to learn from experienced figures within the basketball community.
The President of the Nigeria Olympians Association assured participants and members of the basketball community of an exciting experience as the camp celebrates its 25th edition.
The 2026 edition is expected to bring together more than 500 young players for six days of basketball training, as the camp celebrates 25 years of impact.
