Lekki Scrabble Classics Reigning Champion Abdulmumeen Jimoh Tipped To Excel At This Year’s Edition In September

The reigning champion of Lekki Scrabble Classics, Abdulmumeen Jimoh has received a strong tip to excel at this year’s edition of the competition, with a verdict going in his favour that he is a major favourite for the title, despite the presence of other equally outstanding players on the cards.

Sports247 reports that the verdict in favour of Jimoh comes from the president of Lekki Scrabble Club, Samuel Anikoh, who described the 2025 champ as an inspiration to young players, considering his high level of discipline, humility, zeal for victory and determination to keep on improving.

Anikoh added that Jimoh’s dedication to be a better player has helped him stand out with each passing day and often keeps him on top at major competitions, thereby making him one of the lads to watch out for at next month’s classic.

The scrabble buff went on to note that two other players are also potential winners, as he singled out Enoch Nwali and Timilehin Doko, who always join Jimoh in a healthy triple challenge that helps the trio keep on aiming for higher levels in a progression he believes can see them dominate the world of scrabble.

With this year’s Lekki Scrabble Classics scheduled for September 26th and 27th fast approaching, Anikoh further expressed optimism that the contest will have top quality games and, while tipping Jimoh to be among the stand out performers, he warned the title holder to work harder in order to retain the prize.

Anikoh eulogised Jimoh and projected positively about his prospects in the upcoming contest, saying: “The current champ is an example to a lot of young players. He is a diligent, disciplined and humble person; with laser-focus on becoming a better player every day.

“He is part of the strong trio of musketeers, with Enoch Nwali and Timilehin Doko. The extraordinary way the trio continue to push each other to be better is enviable, and I suspect they have the potential to dominate the world stage if they continue on the same trajectory.”
