A shooting sports competition has been arranged for this Saturday as part of activities marking the graduation ceremony of Course 34 cadets from the National Defence College (NDC), with many guests, officers and stakeholders expected in attendance, Sports247 reports.
In drawing awareness to the occasion, a special open invitation has been issued by the Chief of Defence Staff, Nigeria, General Olufemi Olatunbosun Oluyede, ahead of what has been officially tagged the maiden National Defence College Course 34 Graduation Shooting Competition.
The competition, which is being staged in collaboration with Nigeria Shooting Sport Federation (NSSF), will take place at the National Shooting Range, which is located at Package B of Moshood Abiola National Stadium, Abuja.
A press release signed by NSSF’s director of media and communications, Eche Amos, revealed further that the competition, which will commence at 10am, will have Rear Admiral G.J. Kachim, Chief of Defence Administration, Defence Headquarters, as special guest of honour.
The chief host is Rear Admiral Abdullahi Ahmed, Commandant of National Defence College, who is excitedly looking forward to receiving an array of esteemed personalities and shooting sports stakeholders to sendforth the Course 34 members that also recently created waves with a cultural show.
It came with a vibrant display of cultural heritage and global solidarity during this year’s International Day and Cuisine on Saturday, June 20th, an event that was designed to deepen cross-border relations and strengthen social networking among participants from various nations.
