Chelsea of England defender, Tosin Adarabioyo could be on his way out of Stamford Bridge this month, as the tall centre back, who is still eligible to play for Nigeria, is inching closer to a deal with Benfica of Portugal, Sports247 reports.
With the former Manchester City centre back already turning out to be surplus for requirements at The Blues, an option has opened for him to join his fomer coach at Fulham, Marco Silva, in a £15m switch.

Incidentally, aside from the prospects of playing under a familiar gaffer at Benfica, the Portuguese Liga outfit will also offer the 28-year-old Nigerian stopper an opportunity of featuring in this season’s UEFA Europa League.
However, Tosin could instead take up another option that has seemingly appeared out of the blue for him in the English Premier League, which he might find tempting enough for him to push aside any thought of crossing the border down south to Iberia.
A report by BBC Sport adds, “Chelsea are reportedly ready to offload centre-back Tosin Adarabioyo before the summer transfer window closes. The 28-year-old has struggled to command a regular starting spot in two seasons at Stamford Bridge.
“(The Blues’ new coach) Xabi Alonso has already brought in Maxence Lacroix to bolster his defence. Valentin Barco, Pep Chavarria and Marco Palestra have also arrived and Tosin’s chances under Alonso look limited.
“Chelsea now have nine senior central defenders in place and Alonso has publicly stated he wants to reduce that number to four or five. Tosin still has two years left on his contract, so Chelsea will be looking for a sizeable transfer fee, with interest also from an unnamed Premier League club.”
