Nigerian-born former heavyweight boxing champion of the world, Anthony Olaseni Oluwafemi Joshua has received a massive dose of support for punching his way to victory this Saturday in Saudi Arabia against Kristian Prenga of Albania.

Sports247 reports that the latest backing for ‘AJ’ to win his first encounter back in the roped square, after surviving a fatal accident on December 29th in Sagamu, Ogun State, is coming from Matchroom president, Barry Hearn, who posited that the former champ is in ‘ferocious’ form.
Ahead of the bout in Jeddah, Hearn is celebrating Joshua’s ability to overcome the grief of losing two close friends in the accident that occurred on his way to visit his ancestral family in Sagamu, and the promoter predicted that the London 2012 Olympic Games gold medalist will cause an awful lot of pain’ for Prenga.
While boasting that Joshua will prove he is still capable of regaining his world titles by beating Prenga this Saturday, Hearn added that the Nigerian-born pugilist is already in peak shape, though he has not fought since knocking out American YouTuber, Jake Paul in December.
Hearn, who has been associated with Joshua since his 2012 breakthrough, pointed out that the 36-year-old star has been training in the camp of former undisputed champion, Oleksandr Usyk, and the promoter beamed with delight that he has never seen the former two-time winner so focused.
“AJ looks in the shape of his life. He’s been training at Usyk’s camp. He’s tremendously motivated, not just to win but to put on a show. Prenga is dangerous. We don’t know too much about him, but Joshua is a ferocious animal at the moment, and you’ll see a ferocious animal in there.
“Don’t blink; look for fireworks. AJ is not taking anything for granted. He knows he’s got a job to do, and he will be ruthlessly efficient. He’s in the mood to cause an awful lot of pain on Saturday,” Hearn told Sky Sports News about his expectations.
