Heartland Queens booked their place in the final of the 2026 Women’s President Federation Cup after defeating FC Robo Queens 2-1 in a keenly contested semi-final encounter on Wednesday.
The Owerri-based side took control of the game in the first half through Umejiaku Oluebube, whose goal handed Heartland Queens a deserved lead at the break.

Despite a spirited response from FC Robo Queens after halftime, Heartland Queens held their nerve and added a second goal to strengthen their advantage before eventually sealing a 2-1 victory and a place in the final.
Heartland Queens will now face Nasarawa Amazons in the championship match after the Lafia-based side secured a dramatic 2-1 victory over Sunshine Queens in the other semi-final.
Nasarawa Amazons struck first through Ayatsea in the 18th minute and appeared set for victory before Sunshine Queens found a dramatic equaliser in the 93rd minute.
However, the Amazons responded immediately, with Alani scoring a dramatic winner in the 94th minute to send the former champions into a second consecutive President Federation Cup final.
The final promises to be a thrilling contest between two of Nigeria’s most consistent women’s football sides, with Heartland Queens aiming to crown their impressive cup run with silverware, while Nasarawa Amazons seek to reclaim the prestigious trophy.
The Women’s President Federation Cup final will be part of the competition’s grand finale double-header, which will also feature the men’s final between Ikorodu City FC and El-Kanemi Warriors in Asaba.
With both teams overcoming difficult semi-final tests, all eyes will now be on the showdown between Heartland Queens and Nasarawa Amazons as they battle for one of the biggest honours in Nigerian women’s football.
