Ibadan Ex-internationals’ May 31st Exhibition Match Gains More Intensity, As Kola Ige Joins Build-up Hype

Intensity is growing ahead of next Sunday’s exhibition match in Ibadan between the city’s array of ex-internationals and their counterparts from Lagos, with former Flying Eagles’ goalkeeper, Kola Ige joining the hype.

Sports247 reports that Ige, who shot into limelight with Shooting Stars Sports Club (3SC) of Ibadan and Bayelsa United of Yenagoa, advised fans to arrive at the venue early in order to get sitting space.

Ige also enthused that the game at Lekan Salami Stadium, located in Adamasingba area of the Oyo State capital, will see bolts excitement from the long list of stars who will feature for Ibadan Ex-internationals and Super Eagles Legends.

Ige, who is now goalkeepers’ trainer of the under-17 female national team, Flamingos, added that it will be more than merely a football match, as it provides a special point of contact to reconnect former players and revive great memories of their active days in the game.

He further asserted that the event on May 31st presents a rare opportunity for former stars from different generations to reunite under one atmosphere and relive the bond that football created for them on and off the pitch over the years. “Football fans will have the privilege of once again seeing their beloved heroes on the pitch. They will watch players whose talents, sacrifices, and unforgettable moments once brought joy and excitement to millions.

“I, therefore, urge fans, supporters and stakeholders to come out in large numbers and be part of what promises to be a memorable celebration of football, friendship, and enduring legacy,” said Ige, who also starred for Bayelsa United of Yenagoa.
