Sports247reports that Sanusi issued the allegation during a courtesy visit to the NFF secretariat by the new executive committee of Nigeria Referees Association (NRA), led by their acting president, Sir Kelechi Mejuobi.

The referees’ leader assured that all members of the NRA’s executive committee will put in more efforts at sanitising the vocation in the country, while assuring that all manner of unethical conduct will be met with stiff sanctions.

Sanusi, though, challenged Sir Mejuobi and his new team in the NRA to take stern measures that would help them put an end to instances of poor officiating that leave cause for concern at all levels of the Nigerian league.

The NFF’s scribe affirmed, “I believe we have referees who can hold their own at the highest level, even perform at the FIFA World Cup, but they are easily influenced to the detriment of their own careers.”
