Heart Of Lion Football Academy of Igando have set plans in motion for their participation in the upcoming Alimosho Football Coaches Council U10 competition.

Sports247 gathered that the team has stepped up their training routine ahead of the commencement of the competition, which is billed as a four-day contest for under-10 boys.
Sports247 further gathered that the competition, which will begin on April 27th, will involve only eight teams in pulsating matches at Local Government Primary School, Igando-Ikotun Road.
Coordinator of the competition, Coach Afeez Oladimeji Afeez disclosed the screening of players for all participating clubs will take place this Saturday, from 9-11am at Egan Grammar School, Igando, with all coaches expected in attendance.
He disclosed that the competition, which is officially known as U10 Soccer Championship 2026, has many benefits in store for outstanding players and teams, among which is a glittering trophy for the champions.
Two brand new balls will also be presented to the winning team, while the runners-up will go home with a ball, as well as medals for most valuable player, best goalkeeper, highest goal scoorer and best coach.
A promotional flyer for the competition stated, “Witness the pinnacle of football action as the top teams clash in the ultimate showdown.”
Coach Afeez, who is also the technical director of Heart Of Lions FA, disclosed that his under-8 squad recently won a build-up match ahead of the main competition, with Goodluck scoring their lone goal in the encounter.
