The Athletics Federation of Nigeria (AFN) has officially released a 24-athlete squad for the upcoming World Athletics Relays set to take place in Gaborone, Botswana from May 2 to 3.
The list, approved by the federation’s Technical Committee, features a blend of experienced campaigners and emerging talents as Team Nigeria aims to make a strong impact across all six relay events.

Top stars such as Patience Okon-George, Enoch Adegoke, Favour Ashe, Chidi Okezie, Emmanuel Ojeli, and Blessing Ogundiran headline the team.
They are joined by promising newcomers including Gafari Badmus, Asuquo Ezekiel Eno, Jecinta Lawrence, Toheebat Jimoh, and Tejiri Godwin.
AFN President, Chief Tonobok Okowa, expressed confidence in the squad, emphasizing a balance of experience and youth as Nigeria targets podium finishes and strong relay qualifications ahead of major global competitions.
