Fury had called out Joshua after his recent victory, demanding a long-awaited showdown dubbed the “Battle of Britain.”
But Joshua was quick to respond and he did not hold back.
“He’s chasing clout,” Joshua said bluntly.
The former unified champion even took a swipe at Fury by recalling their earlier encounters, suggesting he had the upper hand long before both men became global stars.
“I’ve been punching him up since we were kids,” he claimed.
Despite the sharp remarks, Joshua made it clear that he is not opposed to the fight.
“I’ve got no problem fighting him,” he added.
However, he stressed that the timing of such a clash would be determined on his own terms.
“It will happen in due time,” he said.
Joshua also reaffirmed his confidence and authority within the division, describing himself as “the boss”, a statement that underscores his belief in his position at the top of the sport.
For fans, the exchange has only intensified anticipation for what could be one of the biggest fights in boxing history.
The rivalry between the two British heavyweights has long captured global attention, and this latest war of words has reignited the conversation.
As both fighters continue their respective journeys, the question remains whether negotiations will finally align to make the bout a reality.
Because in boxing, talk is one thing.
But action is everything.
And until they step into the ring together, the debate will continue.
