Speaking on his plans for the team, Busari highlighted the importance of grassroots development, noting that nurturing young talents is key to sustained success.
“Development is the priority,” he said, making his philosophy clear.
According to the coach, his approach will center on improving players’ basic techniques, tactical awareness, and mental strength, areas he believes are essential for producing well-rounded footballers.
“We must build them properly,” he implied.
Busari’s vision goes beyond immediate results, focusing instead on creating a pipeline of players who can progress through the ranks and eventually contribute to higher national teams, including the Super Falcons.
“It’s about the future,” he stressed.
The Flamingos have historically played a crucial role in Nigeria’s football structure, serving as a platform for discovering and developing young female talents.
Busari is determined to maintain and enhance that legacy.
“We want to produce top players,” he noted.
His emphasis on grassroots development also reflects a broader need within Nigerian football to invest in youth systems and ensure continuity across different levels.
By strengthening the foundation, Busari believes the country can achieve greater success on the international stage.
As he begins his tenure, expectations will be high.
But his message is clear.
Success starts from the ground up.
And under his leadership, the Flamingos will aim to grow, develop, and deliver.
Because in football, the future belongs to those who prepare for it.
