Gaffar Liameed Promises Well Organized Tournament For 2026 Lagos State FA Cup

Lagos State Football Association (LSFA) chairman, Hajji Gafar Olawale Liameed has promised that the governing body will do everything to ensure that this year’s Federation Cup is well-organised and flawless from beginning to end.

Sports247 reports that Liameed described the competition that is commonly known as FA Cup as more than just a sporting event, pointing out that it also holds deep socio-cultural and developmental significance for the state.

He added that the FA Cup symbolizes deep-rooted values and giant aspirations of Lagos State in terms of unity, tradition and sporting success, while affirming that the competition will feature teams from various local government areas.

The LSFA supremo pointed out further that the presence of football academies and youth clubs among registered teams participating in the FA Cup strengthens its grassroots values and foundation of the sport in Nigeria’s commercial capital.

While stressing that the FA Cup is designed as a platform for spotting talents and motivating young players, Liameed assured stakeholders, participating teams, and fans that the LSFA remains dedicated to organising a seamless tournament.
