The team emerged as champions of Africa and secured qualification for the FIBA Women’s Basketball World Cup later in the year.
In this capacity, he successfully managed media relations and enhanced the public image of one of Africa’s most successful basketball teams and his contributions, alongside those of the team, earned national recognition, as they were honoured by President Bola Ahmed Tinubu with the Officer of the Order of the Niger (OON), along with other commendations, including landed property and cash rewards.
