Eberechi Eze Keeps On Getting Better With Each Game – Mikel Arteta

Eze continues notching stunning goals for the English Premier League title contenders and he recently slammed home another sizzler that helped Arsenal move into the UEFA Champions League quarter finals.

In the wake of Eze’s wonder strike on Tuesday against Bayer Leverkusen of Germany, Arteta praised the former Queens Park Rangers and Crystal Palace of England ace, who is fast laying claim to a regular starting shirt.

Arteta, though, admitted it was not a smooth start for Eze after his arrival at Emirates Stadium from Palace last summer, but pointed out that the England international has been able to adapt and adjust to Arsenal’s pressing style.

The gaffer acknowledged, “What we want, with and without the ball – in the spaces that he moves and the purpose that he’s showing every time he’s around the box. It’s a reason why he’s here – to create those kind of moments.

“I think he’s building a better chemistry, a better understanding with all of them, and we start to understand him much better and then, yes. He’s playing much more now than in any other season.

“That tells you as well the consistency he’s showing, he’s always fit. He has a lot of minutes in him. He’s handling the pressure, the situation and expectation very well. He can do it, he’s willing to do it, and he’s doing it better and better every day.”
