Agu showed strong race execution over the one-lap event, maintaining her rhythm and composure in a competitive field. Her time reflects a solid early-season benchmark as she continues to build form and fitness for the challenges ahead.
The Nigerian athlete held her own against a quality lineup, demonstrating consistency and control throughout the race. With the outdoor season still in its early stages, her performance offers a positive platform to improve on in upcoming meets.
Also in action was compatriot Sophia Efetobore, who finished seventh with a time of 58.81 seconds. While primarily known for her sprint events, Efetobore’s outing in the 400m provides valuable race experience and contributes to her overall development.
For Agu, the result marks another encouraging step in her progression, as she looks to sharpen her performances and push for faster times as the season unfolds.
With more competitions ahead, both athletes will aim to build on this foundation and continue representing Nigeria strongly on the collegiate track circuit.
