Sport247 reports that Gusau made the appeal in a goodwill message he issued to celebrate this year’s Eid El-Fitri, marking the end of the Holy month of Ramadan and extended warm felicitations to all Muslims across the world.

While urging Muslim faithful to uphold lessons learned during Ramadan, Gusau emphasized the importance of collective support and spiritual backing for football to grow in Nigeria, where goals are best achieved with unity.

He then charged all lovers of football in Nigeria and the general public to remain steadfast in faith, support and continued prayers for the nation’s governing body so that the country will make more progress in the world’s most popular sport.

“I urge the football family and Nigerians at large to continue to pray for the leadership of Nigerian Football Federation to succeed. Eid El-Fitri is a day to thank Almighty Allah for successful completion of the Holy Month of Ramadan,” Gusau sermonised.
