Heading into the second leg with a comfortable cushion, Ferencváros were unable to withstand a relentless performance from the Portuguese side, who overturned the deficit in emphatic fashion.

Ricardo Horta set the tone early, opening the scoring in the 11th minute before doubling his tally in the 53rd minute to lead Braga’s comeback. In between, Florian Grillitsch had already extended the hosts’ advantage with a strike in the 15th minute, putting Ferencváros under immediate pressure.

The Hungarian side’s hopes of regaining control were further dented when Gonçalo Martínez added another goal in the 34th minute, completing a dominant first-half display that effectively erased the visitors’ first-leg advantage.

Yusuf featured for Ferencváros but was withdrawn in the 77th minute, making way for Brazilian midfielder Cadu, as his side searched for a way back into the contest.

Ultimately, Braga’s attacking intensity proved too much, as they sealed progression and sent Ferencváros crashing out of the competition.

Attention now shifts back to domestic action for Ferencváros, who remain firmly in the title race in Hungary. With a game in hand, they sit just a point behind leaders Győri ETO FC, offering them a strong opportunity to reclaim top spot in the league standings.

For Yusuf and his teammates, the focus will now be on regrouping quickly and channeling their efforts into securing domestic success after European disappointment.
