Rafiu Durosinmi Hit with Two-Match Ban After Red Card Incident

Rafiu Durosinmi has been handed a two-match suspension following his red card for violent conduct during Pisa SC’s Serie A fixture against Cagliari Calcio.

The ruling was confirmed by the league’s sports judge, who found the Nigerian forward guilty of kicking an opponent while the ball was out of play, an offence deemed serious enough to warrant an immediate suspension.

As a result, Durosinmi will miss two crucial fixtures in Pisa’s campaign. He is set to be unavailable for the away clash against Como 1907 on March 22, as well as the home encounter with Torino FC on April 5.

The suspension comes at a critical stage of the season, with Pisa locked in a tense battle to avoid relegation. Losing a key attacking option could prove costly as the club looks to gather vital points in the closing weeks of the campaign.

Durosinmi’s absence will now force Pisa to adjust their attacking setup, while the player himself will be hoping to return with renewed focus and discipline once his suspension is served.
