Former Nigeria international Mathias Enebeli has joined the growing list of football figures mourning the passing of former teammate Henry Nwosu, describing the late midfielder as a rare talent whose quality set him apart.
Enebeli said Nwosu’s ability on the ball made him special and unforgettable to those who played alongside him.

“Henry Nwosu was a genius with the ball,” Enebeli said.
According to the former international, Nwosu’s close control and composure were among the qualities that distinguished him from many of his peers.
“His close control was what made him stand apart from the others,” he added.
Enebeli noted that beyond his technical brilliance, Nwosu was also respected for his influence and contribution to Nigerian football during his playing days.
The former player said the football community has lost a gifted figure whose legacy will continue to be remembered by teammates, fans and future generations.
“He was an exceptional player and Nigerian football will remember him,” he said.
