Remo Stars Stadium to Host 2026 NNL Super 4 Tournament in Ikenne

The board of the Nigeria National League (NNL) has officially confirmed that the 2026 NNL Super 4 tournament will take place at the Remo Stars Stadium from May 1 to May 8, 2026.

The tournament will serve as the final phase of the 2025/2026 NNL season, where the top teams from the league divisions will compete in a round-robin format to determine the overall champion.

According to the league body, this year’s format represents a notable adjustment from previous seasons. In the last campaign, the NNL organised a Super 8 playoff tournament to decide promotion places to the Nigeria Premier Football League (NPFL). However, the 2026 Super 4 will strictly be used to determine the overall league champion, rather than promotion slots.

NNL Chairman George Aluo confirmed the decision and expressed confidence that the competition would be organised to the highest professional standards.

“I want to confirm that the 2026 NNL Super 4 will take place at the Remo Stars Stadium in Ikenne, Ogun State from May 1 to May 8. The tournament will determine the overall champion of the Nigeria National League for this season,” Aluo stated.

He added that the league board, in collaboration with its investors Toptier Sports Management and partners Betpawà, is fully committed to delivering a memorable and professionally managed tournament.

Aluo also revealed that the decision to host the competition in Ikenne was influenced by the quality of the stadium’s facilities. The newly renovated venue boasts a FIFA-certified pitch and modern infrastructure, making it one of the best football venues in Nigeria’s domestic league structure.

“We deliberately selected Remo Stars Stadium because of its world-class infrastructure and excellent playing conditions, which will provide the ideal environment for the tournament,” he added.

The NNL Super 4 will feature the top-performing teams across the league’s divisions, with each side facing the others in a round-robin format. At the end of the fixtures, the team with the highest points will be crowned champion of the Nigeria National League for the 2025/2026 season.

The event is expected to attract significant attention from Nigerian football followers as the second-tier league prepares to crown its champion in what promises to be a competitive and entertaining finale.
