Nigerian sprint sensation Samuel Ogazi delivered a historic performance to win the Men’s 400m title at the NCAA Indoor Track and Field Championships, setting a new African indoor record in the process.

Ogazi stormed to victory in a personal best time of 44.57 seconds, lowering his own previous African mark of 44.72 seconds and establishing a new continental benchmark in the event.
The Nigerian star produced a commanding run in the final, holding off strong competition to secure the gold medal.
Justin Braun finished in second place with 44.67 seconds to claim the silver medal, while Jordan Pierre settled for bronze.
Ogazi’s record-breaking performance highlights his rapid rise on the global collegiate stage and reinforces his status as one of Africa’s most exciting quarter-milers.
The victory also crowns a remarkable indoor season for the Nigerian, who continues to push the boundaries of African sprinting ahead of the upcoming outdoor campaign.
