Wrexham goalkeeper, Arthur Okonkwo put up another man of the match performance for the English Championship club and his efforts helped them pull off a stunning 2-0 win over their Welsh neighbours, Swansea City, Sports247 reports.

With the new Super Eagles’ eligible shot-stopper again rock solid between the sticks, Wrexham took a step closer to promotion, as they entered the Championship’s top-six with victory over The Swans at Stok Cae Ras.
Their surge continued with Nathan Broadhead firing the hosts ahead midway through the first half with his eighth goal of the season, after Okonkwo earlier denied Championship top scorer, Zan Vipotnik from a one-on-one position.
After Goncalo Franco’s tame shot was easily saved by Okonkwo inside 40 seconds, Vipotnik – scorer of 19 goals across all competitions – latched on to Franco’s sublime through ball, only to be denied by a brilliant save by the Nigerian keeper.
Callum Doyle’s header then went in off Liam Cullen to ensure Okonkwo and The Red Dragons sealed the bragging rights, as Phil Parkinson’s men opened up a six-point gap over seventh-placed Southampton, who visit Coventry City on Saturday.
Swansea were emphatically punished for failing to take their chances, as Vitor Matos’ men dominated possession and had plenty of control, but found Okonkwo as a stumbling block and increasingly difficult to beat the former Arsenal rookie.
The Swans improved towards the end, and Okonkwo was stretched by Marko Stamenic’s hot shot, but Wrexham sealed all three points two minutes from time, when Doyle’s header from a George Thomason cross went in off the legs of Cullen.
