The Nigerian forward, who started the match and played 77 minutes, found the back of the net to give Roma the lead in a closely contested encounter against their familiar rivals.

Babajide’s strike proved crucial as the hosts battled to secure a draw heading into the decisive second leg.

Roma faced strong pressure from Inter throughout the match, but Babajide’s attacking contribution ensured the Giallorosse remained firmly in contention in the two-legged semifinal tie of the Coppa Italia Women.

The goal marks another important moment for the Nigerian attacker, who continues to play an influential role in Roma’s attacking setup this season. Her ability to step up in key fixtures has been valuable for the Italian side as they compete on multiple fronts.

Following the semifinal first-leg result, Roma will now shift focus back to domestic league action in the Serie A Femminile, where they are scheduled to face ACF Fiorentina Women on March 15, 2026.

Attention will then return to the cup competition later in the month when Roma travel for the decisive second leg of the semifinal on March 28, 2026, where a place in the Coppa Italia final will be at stake.

With the tie delicately poised, Babajide and her teammates will be aiming to build on their first-leg performance and secure qualification for the final, keeping their hopes of silverware alive this season.
