Sadiq Ibrahim continued his fine scoring form for Shooting Stars SC after netting his seventh goal of the season in a hard-fought 2–1 victory over Rivers United FC in a rescheduled fixture of the Nigeria Professional Football League.

The in-form forward gave the Oluyole Warriors the lead in the 34th minute, meeting a well-delivered cross with a perfectly placed header to beat the Rivers United goalkeeper. Ibrahim’s effort ensured the Ibadan-based side went into a strong position during the tightly contested encounter.
