NWFL Premiership Matchday 10: Edo Queens Run Riot, Ibom Angels Shine as Confluence Queens Snatch Late Win

Matchday 10 of the Nigeria Women Football League Premiership delivered thrilling encounters across multiple centres, with dominant home performances, derby drama, and a dramatic late winner highlighting another competitive round of fixtures.

In Lagos, FC Robo Queens secured a narrow 1–0 victory over Sunshine Queens thanks to an early strike from Opeyemi Ajakaiye in the 8th minute, a goal that proved decisive as the hosts held on for all three points.

One of the most emphatic performances of the day came in Benin City where defending champions Edo Queens thrashed Bayelsa Queens 4–1 in a blistering first-half display. Atume Doosuur opened the scoring in the 4th minute before Chioma Moses doubled the lead five minutes later.

Doosuur added her second in the 13th minute before Moses completed her brace in the 30th minute. Kindness Ifeanyi pulled one back late for Bayelsa Queens in the 75th minute.

In Ikenne, Ahudiyannem Queens stunned Remo Stars Ladies with a 2–1 away victory. Uduakobong Monday gave the visitors the lead before Daniella Fagbenro equalised for the hosts in stoppage time of the first half. However, Mary Lucky restored Ahudiyannem Queens’ advantage in the 64th minute.

In Ibadan, Pacesetter Queens claimed a comfortable 2–0 win over Adamawa Queens with goals from Hikmat Adewale and Esther Kaase.

Elsewhere, Dannaz Ladies edged Osun Babes 1–0 in Ile-Ogbo courtesy of a 75th-minute goal from Fausat Idris.

In Asaba, Delta Queens and Nasarawa Amazons settled for a 1–1 draw. Anesthesia Terfa gave Delta Queens the lead before Ayowunmi Omosuyi equalised shortly after the restart.

Ekiti Queens secured a solid 2–0 victory over Heartland Queens in Abeokuta with goals from Kaosarat Olamide Olanrewaju and Amarachi Okoronkwo.

In Uyo, Ibom Angels defeated Naija Ratels 3–1, with Happiness Agboye scoring twice and Godsgift Afigbediator converting a penalty before Chekwube Omeje responded for the visitors.

The most dramatic finish came in Aba where Confluence Queens snatched a 2–1 win over Abia Angels with a stoppage-time goal from Emmanuel Seember after Hannah Yusuf had earlier cancelled out an own goal by Onyedikachi Ekezie.

Matchday 10 once again underlined the competitiveness and excitement that continue to define the NWFL Premiership this season.
