The three-day championship, organised by Nigeria Tennis Live, is designed as a grassroots initiative aimed at discovering and nurturing young tennis talents across secondary schools in Lagos State.
The tournament is open to student-athletes aged 16 and under, providing a competitive platform for emerging players to showcase their abilities while encouraging increased participation in tennis at the school level.
According to the organisers, the event represents a first-of-its-kind inter-secondary school tennis competition in Lagos, with the objective of reviving the sport in schools and building a sustainable pathway for future Nigerian tennis stars.
The championship will be staged at the tennis courts of the National Stadium Surulere, one of the country’s historic sports venues that has hosted numerous national and international competitions.
Registration for the tournament remains open to eligible schools, as organisers continue to encourage broader participation and partnerships to support youth tennis development in Nigeria.
The competition is expected to feature singles matches among participating schools, with players competing over three days for honours in what promises to be an exciting showcase of budding tennis talent in Lagos.
