Galatasaray of Turkey striker, Victor Osimhen is blowing hot ahead of next week’s UEFA Champions League round of 16 second leg with Liverpool, as he believes his side will punish the Reds further on their home turf.

Sports247 reports that Osimhen provided an assist on the only goal his side scored to beat their visitors from England 1-0 in Tuesday’s first leg at Rams Park in Istanbul, where he also had a goal ruled out controversially.
The Super Eagles’ star, however, put that setback behind him and spoke glowingly about the homage paid by Galatasaray’s fans for his late mother before kick-off and declared it’s one reason why he always plays his heart out for the club.
The 2023 African Footballer of The Year, who had his baby in his arms as he spoke after Tuesday’s game, stressed that a second victory over Liverpool in this season’s UCL gives him and his colleagues confidence to finish the job next week.
Osimhen declared emphatically, “I think we can hurt Liverpool in the second leg. We have done a good job so far. We are a family together with the Galatasaray fans. We did a very good job today.
“I have been very happy since I arrived in this jersey. This jersey is very special. I wanted to do my best for these fans. I lost my mother at a very young age. That’s why it’s very important to me.”
