He admitted afterwards that it is a welcome change to recent flak that hit him from Arsenal’s fans, when he failed to keep a place in the squad, then acknowledged that he often does better at the start of every year.
The Nigerian-born England international is now hoping that his renewed form will continue all the way till the last kick of the season, as he fights for a spot in the FIFA World Cup squad and help Arsenal win the EPL title.
Eze said: “I am trying every single game to perform, to score goals and to win. It just seems to fall more so at this time of the year. I hope it is the same this year. This is where it matters.
“These are the end points that you want to arrive in. For sure, I will be working as hard as I can to push for it. I just pray that we continue to build the team, to keep working and winning games.”
