Tottenham started the match brightly and took the lead in the 34th minute. Archie Gray delivered a precise assist that allowed Dominic Solanke to tap home from close range, giving the hosts a deserved advantage.

However, the momentum of the game shifted dramatically just before halftime. Crystal Palace were handed a lifeline in the 40th minute when Tottenham defender Micky van de Ven received a red card after a foul in the penalty area.

Ismaila Sarr stepped up confidently and converted the penalty, sending goalkeeper Guglielmo Vicario the wrong way to level the score.

Palace quickly capitalized on their numerical advantage. In first-half stoppage time, Adam Wharton delivered an excellent assist that allowed Jørgen Strand Larsen to fire home with his right foot in the 45+1st minute, completing the turnaround.

The visitors continued their relentless attacking approach, and just minutes later Wharton provided another assist. This time, Sarr struck again in the 45+7th minute, finishing with his right foot to secure his brace and give Palace a commanding two-goal cushion heading into the break.

Earlier in the match, Palace thought they had opened the scoring in the 29th minute through Sarr, but the effort was ruled out after a VAR review confirmed an offside in the build-up.

With the match under control in the second half, Palace introduced Nigerian midfielder Christantus Uche as a late substitute to help manage the game and preserve the lead.

The victory provides a significant boost for Crystal Palace in their battle to avoid relegation, as they now move 10 points clear of the drop zone while Tottenham were left to rue their first-half collapse.
