Nigerian midfielder Fisayo Dele-Bashiru opened his goalscoring account for the 2025/2026 season after finding the net for Lazio in their 2–2 draw against Atalanta on Wednesday night.
Dele-Bashiru struck in the first half to give Lazio an early advantage in the keenly contested Coppa Italia encounter, showing composure and timing to beat the Atalanta defence and finish clinically.

The goal marked his first of the campaign for the Rome-based club.
Atalanta responded after the break to restore parity, ensuring the match ended all square as both sides battled for control in an evenly matched contest.
The game later descended into a last minutes chaos after Lazio shot into the lead in the closing thinking they have won an advantage going into the second leg but Atalanta rallied to bring game to a 2-2 draw ahead of the second leg of the semi final of the Coppa Italia.
Fisayo goal represents a significant milestone.
The Nigerian has featured regularly for Lazio this season without scoring prior to the clash.
With confidence boosted by his breakthrough strike, Dele-Bashiru will be hoping to build momentum as Lazio continue their domestic and cup campaigns in the weeks ahead.
