“The trust shown by the voters means there are higher expectations now,” Orbih said.
The federation president admitted that the journey over the past years has not been easy, explaining that developing badminton in Nigeria requires significant commitment and sacrifice.
“It has been a tough and demanding journey, but the results we have achieved make the sacrifices worthwhile,” he explained.
Orbih emphasized that the progress made by Nigerian badminton players on the continental and international stage has served as motivation for the federation to keep pushing forward.
“Seeing our athletes succeed and gain recognition inspires us to continue working harder,” he added.
With his new mandate secured, Orbih pledged to build on the federation’s modest achievements and take Nigerian badminton to greater heights.
“We must build on what we have already achieved and aim for even greater success,” he stated.
The election also saw Adamu Alhaji Lawan elected as the new vice president of the federation, marking a new chapter in the leadership structure.
Orbih stressed that collaboration within the federation will be key to achieving future goals.
“We will work together to strengthen the sport and create more opportunities for our athletes,” he noted.
He concluded by reaffirming his commitment to the continued growth of badminton in Nigeria.
“The work continues, and we are determined to move Nigerian badminton to the next level,” Orbih said.
