Nigerian footballer Chinedu Cyprian Ononogbo, who recently completed a move to Norwegian side SK Brann, has been thrown into mourning following the passing of his beloved father.

The late patriarch will be laid to rest in his hometown of Umuohiadagu, Umumbazor Nekede, Owerri West Local Government Area of Imo State, on Thursday, February 26, 2026.

While he prepares to represent SK Brann on the European stage, he now faces the emotional weight of personal loss.
