Sports247 reports that, while Salah and Gakpo appeared laid back in Liverpool’s laborious 1-0 win away to Ola Aina’s Nottingham Forest, Ngumoha was full off running and desire after going on in the 75th minute of play.
Consequently, Ngumoha has gained massive accolades from one of The Reds’ icons, Jamie Carragher, who rated the fast-rising kid top of his favourites during Sunday’s away win.
Carragher, who now works as a television pundit, was not quite excited with the manner in which his former team got the win over Forest, but he singled out Ngumoha for superlatives.
For Carragher, Liverpool’s victory at The City Ground was ‘one of the biggest robberies’ this season in the EPL, even as he went on to slam The Reds’ often reliable pair of Salah and Gakpo for their inability to impress.
While slamming Salah and Gakpo for failing to rise to the occasion, Carragher heaped praise on Ngumoha, as Aina got a tellow cards and The Reds gained three points courtesy of a late strike by Alexis Mac Allister.
Carragher opined that the 17-year-old Nigerian-born lad gave his squad the spark they needed and posited: “Ngumoha did more in 15 minutes than Salah and Gakpo did before that. He changed the game and needs to be starting games.”
