Reacting to the call-up, Erhabor said she was overwhelmed with pride at the opportunity to represent Nigeria at a senior level, adding that wearing the green-and-white jersey has always been one of her biggest ambitions.
“It’s an honour and a privilege to be called up to the Super Falcons. I’m grateful to God, my family, my coaches, and everyone who has supported me on this journey. I can’t wait to give my best for Nigeria,” she said.
Born in the Netherlands to Nigerian parents, Erhabor was eligible to represent either country but has now committed her international future to Nigeria.
She has previously been part of youth national team setups and is widely regarded as one of the most promising young goalkeepers of Nigerian descent in Europe.
Since joining Portsmouth Women on a permanent deal in 2025, Erhabor has impressed with her composure, shot-stopping ability, and consistency, earning regular appearances in domestic cup competitions and league fixtures.
Her Super Falcons invitation is seen as a reward for her steady development and could position her as a long-term option in Nigeria’s goalkeeping department as the team continues its transition and rebuilding process.
Erhabor is expected to link up with the Super Falcons camp ahead of the scheduled friendlies against the Indomitable Lions of Cameroon.
She will compete for a place in the starting lineup and gain valuable senior experience alongside established internationals ahead of the upcoming WAFCON 2026 in Morocco.
The Super Falcons will defend the won in the Magreb country last year when hostilities begins in March.
