Newcomers Ahudiyannem Queens of Abiriba announced their arrival in style, securing their first-ever NWFL victory with a commanding 5–1 demolition of Confluence Queens at the Enyimba Stadium, Aba.

Goals from Orji Chinwendu, Chizaram Onyenze, Agba Praise, Tobi Ogenrugba, and Feranmi Odutade sealed a memorable afternoon for the Abia-based side.
In Lagos, FC Robo Queens were awarded a walkover against Osun Babes following unresolved administrative issues related to a jersey clash, handing the Lagos outfit maximum points without kicking a ball.
At Ikenne, Remo Stars Ladies underlined their Super Six ambitions with a ruthless 4–0 win over former champions Delta Queens.
Daniella Fagbenro struck twice, while Kehinde Ajayi and Deborah Kehinde added further goals to cap a dominant display by Matthew Wemimo’s side.
Rivers Angels continued their strong form on the road, edging Ekiti Queens 2–1 in Ado-Ekiti. Patience Otubo struck as early as the second minute before Taiwo Ajibade doubled the lead in the 65th.
Miracle Ohaeri pulled one back late on, but it proved insufficient to deny the visitors all three points.
In Uyo, behind closed doors at the Uyo Township Stadium, Ibom Angels suffered a 2–1 home defeat to Edo Queens.
Chioma Moses opened the scoring early, Juliet John equalized after the break, and Falconets returnee Mary Mamudu grabbed an 86th-minute winner to secure victory for Moses Aduku’s side.
Aba hosted a second fixture where Abia Angels defeated Dannaz Ladies 2–0. Defender Funmilayo Adefuye opened the scoring in the 13th minute before Onyedikachi Ekezie’s header sealed the win in the second half.
Perhaps the most dramatic game unfolded in Owerri, where defending champions Bayelsa Queens surrendered a two-goal advantage to lose 3–1 to Heartland Queens.
After Alaba Olabiyi’s early opener, Umejiaku Oluebube equalized before an Agatha Thompson own goal handed Heartland the lead.
Oluebube then completed her brace to crown a stunning comeback.
In Akure, Sunshine Queens redeemed themselves with a narrow 1–0 victory over Nasarawa Amazons, courtesy of Lucky Victory’s decisive strike.
Meanwhile in Abuja, Naija Ratels were stunned at home by Adamawa Queens as Ifeoma Damian scored twice to seal a famous away win.
With the race for the coveted Super Six spots heating up, attention now turns to Matchday 9, scheduled for next week across various centres nationwide.
