Wikki Tourists assistant coach Bashir Saleh has attributed his side’s 2–0 loss to Rangers International in Enugu to a loss of concentration at crucial moments in the game.
The Bauchi-based team struggled to contain Rangers, who capitalized on defensive lapses to secure a comfortable victory on home soil. Reflecting on the result, Saleh admitted that his players failed to maintain focus throughout the encounter.

“We lost concentration at key moments, and at this level, you get punished for that,” he said after the match.
Saleh also dismissed suggestions that the recent resignation of former head coach Maikaba had negatively affected the squad’s performance. He insisted that the team remains united and focused despite the managerial change.
“No, I won’t agree with that,” Saleh stated. “I am the assistant to him and the team is still there. The structure remains, and the players are committed.”
He expressed confidence that the club will respond positively in upcoming fixtures.
“We will rally round and get back to winning ways,” he added.
The defeat leaves Wikki Tourists with work to do as they aim to regain momentum and climb the table. However, Saleh remains optimistic that improved concentration and collective effort will help steer the team back on track in the matches ahead.
