Nwabali, who recently became a free agent following his departure from South African club Chippa United, has made it clear that he is open to playing anywhere, provided the conditions are right.

The Super Eagles shot-stopper has remained one of Nigeria’s most talked-about goalkeepers since his impressive performances on the international stage.

Reacting to his current club-less status, goalkeeping legend Peterside Idah took to social media with a heartfelt plea, urging the 27-year-old to lend his services to his home-state club.

“Nwabali come to Rivers United and help our team until you have another team. We need help.”

The call reflects both admiration for Nwabali’s quality and concern over Rivers United’s need for stability between the posts. With his experience, leadership, and international pedigree, Nwabali would undoubtedly add depth and confidence to the Port Harcourt-based side.

Whether the Super Eagles star will heed the appeal remains to be seen, but the message from one of Nigeria’s goalkeeping greats has certainly sparked conversation among fans and stakeholders alike.
