Reacting to the ongoing process, Adepoju said he remains cautiously optimistic, stressing that the situation is now in the hands of football authorities.
“I’m keeping my fingers crossed and hoping the outcome will be positive for Nigeria,” Adepoju said. “It’s a delicate situation, but we can only wait and see how it turns out.”
The former Super Eagles midfielder admitted that the matter has generated widespread debate, but believes any decision reached should ultimately be fair and in line with football regulations.
“Whatever the decision is, it has to be based on the rules,” he added. “As Nigerians, we all hope it goes in our favour, but the authorities must do what is right.”
Adepoju concluded by urging Nigerians to remain patient and united while the process runs its course, noting that the national team must continue focusing on improving performances on the pitch regardless of the outcome.
“Football is bigger than one issue,” he said. “We must keep building and supporting the team as a whole.”
