In a Form 16 Summary Jurisdiction Notice dated February 11, 2026, and signed by NPFL Chief Operating Officer Davidson Owumi, the league body found the Bauchi-based club guilty of multiple violations of the NPFL Frameworks and Rules.

According to the notice, Wikki Tourists failed to provide adequate and effective security, allowing unauthorised persons access to restricted areas of the stadium.

The club was also held responsible for the poor conduct of its supporters, whose actions resulted in harassment, loss of property and injuries to match officials and members of the away team.

The NPFL further ruled that home supporters exhibited unsporting behaviour capable of bringing the game into disrepute and threw dangerous objects, including stones, at Katsina United players and match officials.

Wikki Tourists were additionally cited for holding match officials and away team players hostage for several hours after the match and for causing an 18-minute delay before play was restarted.

As sanctions, the NPFL imposed the following fines:

₦2,000,000 for failure to provide adequate and effective security.

₦1,500,000 as compensatory and medical costs, including:

₦250,000 for the loss of the referee’s whistle,

₦250,000 for medical expenses due to injuries sustained by the referee,

₦1,000,000 for medical treatment and related costs arising from injuries to medical personnel and an official of the away team, shared equally at ₦500,000 each.

₦1,000,000 for unsporting behaviour capable of bringing the game into disrepute.

₦1,000,000 for throwing dangerous objects onto the field of play.

₦2,000,000 for holding match officials and away team players hostage and for causing an 18-minute delay before the restart of the match.

In addition to the ₦7.5 million total fine, the NPFL ordered that all subsequent home fixtures of Wikki Tourists FC be relocated to Jos indefinitely.

The club was also directed to submit details of a more effective matchday security and crowd control framework to the NPFL within seven working days.

Wikki Tourists have 48 hours to either submit to the summary jurisdiction and accept the sanctions or elect to be dealt with by a disciplinary panel, in line with Rule C26.

The league warned that frivolous appeals could attract further sanctions.

If the club accepts the ruling, all fines must be paid within seven working days.
