Chippa United Confirms Super Eagles Goalkeeper Stanley Nwabali’s Exit

Chippa United Football Club have officially confirmed the departure of Super Eagles goalkeeper Stanley Nwabali following his request to leave the club.

In a statement released on Wednesday, February 5, 2026, the South African club disclosed that Nwabali formally submitted a request to depart, which was granted after careful consideration by the management.

“Chippa United Football Club confirms that Stanley Nwabali has formally submitted a request to depart the club. After careful consideration, the club has agreed to grant his release,” the statement read.

The Chilli Boys expressed gratitude to the Nigerian international for his dedication and professionalism during his time at the club, acknowledging his contributions both on and off the pitch.

“We would like to sincerely thank Stanley Nwabali for the years of service, commitment, and professionalism he has shown during his time at Chippa United Football Club. His contribution to the club will always be appreciated,” the club added.

Chippa United also wished the shot-stopper success in the next phase of his career and in all his future endeavours.

Nwabali, who has grown into one of Nigeria’s most reliable goalkeepers in recent years, played a key role in Chippa United’s campaigns and enhanced his reputation with impressive performances for the Super Eagles on the international stage.

His next destination is yet to be announced.
