The Umuahia-based side have endured a difficult run at home, failing to record a win in their last four matches in front of their supporters. However, Amapakabo remains unfazed by the recent setback, insisting that the team’s focus is firmly fixed on the task ahead in Katsina.

Speaking ahead of the encounter, the former NPFL title-winning coach emphasized composure and proper preparation as key elements for success on the road.

“We have a very long journey to Katsina, so it’s all about staying calm,” Amapakabo said.

“We’ll travel to Katsina, rest and like every other league game, we’ll play and try to get something there.”

Abia Warriors have shown flashes of quality this season, particularly in their away performances, and the technical crew believes the squad has the mental strength to respond positively despite recent disappointments.

With the league table tightly contested at this stage, every point remains crucial, especially against fellow strugglers battling to climb away from danger.

Katsina United, buoyed by home support in Dikko Stadium, are expected to provide stern opposition, making Sunday’s fixture a crucial test for both sides.

For Abia Warriors, a positive result on the road could reignite momentum and restore belief as the season enters a decisive phase.

Amapakabo’s calm and measured approach reflects confidence in his players’ discipline and resilience, qualities he hopes will translate into points when the whistle blows in Katsina.
