Arokodare Draws a Blank as Wolves Fall Again at Molineux

It was another frustrating afternoon for Wolverhampton Wanderers and Nigerian striker Tolu Arokodare as Wolves slipped to a home defeat against Bournemouth at Molineux Stadium, deepening their struggles in the Premier League.

Arokodare, who led the line for the full 90 minutes, worked tirelessly but endured a tough outing in front of goal.

The 23-year-old registered five shots over the course of the contest but was unable to convert any into a much-needed equaliser, as Wolves failed to make their attacking pressure count.

Bournemouth struck first in the 33rd minute through E.J. Kroupi, whose composed finish silenced the home crowd and handed the visitors early control. Wolves attempted to respond with more urgency in the second half, pushing numbers forward and creating half-chances, with Arokodare at the centre of most attacking moves. However, poor decision-making in the final third and resolute defending from the Cherries kept the hosts at bay.

As Wolves chased an equaliser late on, Bournemouth capitalised on the spaces left behind. In stoppage time (90+1’), Alex Scott sealed the result with a decisive second goal, effectively ending any hopes of a comeback for the home side.

For Arokodare, it was a performance that showed promise in effort and involvement, but also highlighted the growing need for end product as Wolves continue to battle for points.

The defeat adds further pressure on the Midlands club, who remain in a difficult position on the table.
