Sports247 gathered that, with the Milwaukee-based side suffering a torrid spell this season, The Bucks are ready to offload their marquee player, who in recent months expressed a strong desire to move on.
The Greece international, who was originally known as ‘Adetokunbo,’ is currently out with injury, but that has not stopped Milwaukee from considering offers on the table, with a strong hint that ‘The Greek Freak’ will soon leave.
A report by ESPN correspondent, Shams Charania revealed, “Milwaukee Bucks have reportedly begun listening to offers on two-time NBA MVP Giannis Antetokounmpo.
“Multiple teams that have called the Bucks inquiring about an Antetokounmpo trade believe Milwaukee is more open than ever to selliing the 10-time All-Star.
“(However,) despite the level of interest, the Bucks are not in a hurry to move on from their franchise face if what they seek in return in such a deal is not met.
“What the Bucks are looking to get back for the 31-year-old Antetokounmpo is a number of draft picks and/or a highly-rated young player.
“Antetokounmpo is currently out of the lineup after re-injuring his calf last week (and) he is expected to miss at least 4-6 weeks.
“The Bucks are currently 12th in the Eastern Conference with an 18-27 record (and) they’ve lost six of their past seven games.
“According to Jake Fischer, the team’s decline has reached ‘a point of no return’ for Antetokounmpo, with the organization resigned to a trade happening at some point.”
