New loan signing at Aberdeen FC of Scotland, Toyosi Olusanya has declared that what fascinates him most about the Scottish Premiership club is great passion with which their fans support the team.

Sports247 gathered that Olusanya arrives among The Dons after a torrid term with Houston Dynamo of USA, but the Nigerian-born attacker believes he can help bring an upturn in fortunes to the squad.

Olusanya added that he is ready to hit the ground running from this weekend and thanked the club for giving him a major opportunity to put his career back on track, then enthused further that Aberdeen is the right place for him.

Although his short-term deal is set to expire at the end of this season, Olusanya, who previously had a spell with their SPL rivals, Saint Mirren, said he is determined to reignite his career at Aberdeen.

He moved from St Mirren to Houston last April but did not start any match in Major League Soccer (MLS), following which he also struggled for game-time on loan at Doncaster Rovers earlier this season.

However, after arriving on loan at Aberdeen until the end of this season, the 28-year-old striker wants to excel with The Dons, as he strives to put behind him his previous woes in the SPL, England’s League One and MLS.

Olusanya told RedTV: “Aberdeen is a huge club. I’ve seen the passion the fans have for the team, driving them on to do well. Everywhere they go, the supporters travel in big numbers and really get behind the team.

“I am very happy to be here. When I first heard of the interest, I felt that coming here would be a good move. I want to show what I can do. I want to score goals, work hard and be a team player.

“The last two years at St Mirren were good for me. Scottish football is where I really made a name for myself and, hopefully, I can pick up from where I left off.”
