This was disclosed to Sports247 by the young but highly vibrant company’s director of sports, Aina Joseph Babatunde, who also revealed that the company has events for boys and girls.

While also stressing the company’s focus on the task of combining sports with education, Babatunde further disclosed that the third edition of their under-17 football tournament will commence on February 14th at same venue.

Babatunde added that both competition’s will be powered by Adetech Nigeria Enterprises, then went on to disclose that the chairman of Unicorn Sports, Adebayo Oluwasegun is keen on ensuring that hidden talents are discovered continuously in Nigeria.

Consequently, in order not to limit their reach to the axis of Ikorodu alone, Babatunde revealed that they will also start another under-17 female tournament on February 14th at James Hope College in Lekki, Lagos, which will have additional support from TosmiCom Sports Agency.

He continued by stating that the company’s efforts in grooming and promoting sports talents is not limited to local levels, as they have also transfered various talents abroad within just one year of their commencement of operations.

“Our biggest achievement so far was in the transfer of some student athletes abroad for further studies and to help them develop more in football,” the hard-working youth sports promoter gleefully stated.

Babatunde projected, “This year, we hope to transfer more student athletes to FK Milutinac in Serbia. We also want to organise Unicorn Sports tournaments for U12, U14 and U17 talents in both male and female categories.

“We don’t have corporate sponsorship, but we are doing all this with the support of our own internal agencies. We are not complaining, but we want more schools to join us in participation and for investors to come.”
